CBIC Tech Tour

Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC)’s annual Tech Tour is a day-long event that introduces area middle and high school students to our region’s technology companies and exposes students to the diverse career possibilities offered by our regional technology community. The program is designed to help youth envision themselves as technology innovators. Nearly 100% volunteer driven, each annual tour organizes upwards of 400 area middle and high school students who visit more than 70 technology related companies and organizations in a single day!

Entrepreneurship and Engineers: Reflections from Scott Ferber (Free Speaker Event)

Prior to his work with Videology, Scott most notably co-founded Advertising.com in 1998 – the world’s leading performance-based digital advertising network –  and sold the company to AOL in 2004. He has also held key roles at Fortune 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble and Capital One.

Scott has received numerous awards including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000, CEO of the Year by Blue Chip Venture Company, and the American Business Award’s “Stevie” for Best Executive in 2005.

Scott graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree from the University of Virginia, Dept of Systems Engineering in 1991, and a M.S. from the Stanford University, Dept of Engineering-Economic Systems in 1992.
